I'm a pianist, writer, producer and performer - happy to work on projects with singers, songwriters, video/film makers, choreographers and artists.

I live near Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal where I have a small studio. Originally from London and Rye (East Sussex) and steeped in Blues since my teens: I still love to 'PLAY THE BLUES'. I currently perform under the moniker Dr. Aspalls ...

 

I use many influences in my studio and composing work: baroque, classical, jazz, blues, folk, rap and electronics through Bach, Bartok, Benjamin Britten, Delta Blues, Dr. John, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Randy Newman, Eminem, free-form jazz, Aphex Twin etc. I can write for film/video, theatre, performance and radio. I'm comfortable with most styles for session work and keen to collaborate on songwriting and performance with new (or not so new) artists. I can perform live on piano, keyboards, organ or electronics.
